Houston Cougars Men's Basketball ranked 5th in Week 6 AP Poll and 5th in December 28th USA Today Coaches Poll

The Houston Cougars men's basketball team moved up one spot to 5th in Week 6 of the Associated Press Top 25 men's college basketball poll.
The Cougars (7-0) received 1313 points -- an increase of 41 points -- compared to the 1272 points Houston received in the Week 5 AP poll.
The 5th place ranking is Houston's highest AP ranking since finishing at No 5 in final poll of the 1983-84 season.
During the 2018-19 season, the Coogs appeared in the AP Top 10 for three straight weeks, eventually finishing ranked 11th, after advancing to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 for the first time since 1984.

The Coogs received 636 points in the December 28th USA Today Coaches Poll and moved up 2 spots from 7th to 5th. The 636 points compares to the 559 points Houston received in the December 21st USA Today Coaches Poll.
Houston's next game is scheduled for Tuesday, December 29th, on the road versus the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Tip time is scheduled for 8 p.m. ESPN2 will broadcast the game.
