POSTED: November 11, 2020 -- 4:25 p.m. CT

Last season, Brison Gresham averaged 2.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.0 block in 15 minutes per game. Gresham, 6'8", started 11 games for Houston last season; and, despite 15 minutes per game, he picked up 79 fouls (2nd most on the team).

As part of Wednesday's virtual media session, I asked Brison what he did in the offseason to improve as well as how much he's changed physically since he arrived at Houston a couple of years ago.

The HRR: How much has your body changed from when you first arrived at UH to now and are you ready to be a vocal leader on the team?

Brison: "My body changed drastically. When I first got here, I was 208. Thin. And, now, I got muscle on me; but, I'm lean. I weighed 230 this morning."

"I'm ready to take on the challenge. Ready to be a vocal leader. I feel like that's really me; but, sometimes, I just shy away from it."

The HRR: What did you work on during this offseason to get improve?

Brison: "My biggest thing I tried to work is my conditioning. I felt like I really couldn't showcase my game because I'll get in foul trouble. I'd get fatigue fouls. And, I've been working on my jump shot a lot."

The HRR: How have frontcourt newcomers looked thus far to you?

Brison: "Kiyron (freshman big Kiyron Powell). I feel like the sky's the limit for him for sure. He's got all the mechanics and tools that he needs. He just needs to get a feel for the game a little more."

The HRR: How about Reggie Chaney?/p>

Brison: "I love Reg. I love how his style of play is very tough. He's going to help us a lot this season."
