Coogs return from Italy

After spending nearly two weeks in Italy (August 7-17), the Houston Cougars men's basketball team, coaches, staff, and family returned to H-town Saturday evening.
Head Coach Kelvin Sampson, redshirt junior forward Justin Gorham, and redshirt junior guard DeJon Jarreau spoke with the media about the trip: the games, the culture, etc.

Gorham, did not play last season for Houston due to the NCAA's transfer rules; so, the 4 games the Coogs played in Italy were his first game action in more than a year.

Coach Sampson enjoyed the trip because it gave his players an opportunity to experience a different culture, get class credit for the trip, prepare for the upcoming season, and "build camaraderie; develop some unity".
