The Stealth (6 – 3) reinforced their first place standing by beating the last place Spirit (2 – 7) Sunday 85 - 80. Houston remains undefeated (5 – 0) at Rice University’s Autry Court.

Stacy Clinesmith and Alicia Thompson shared high scoring honors of the game with 25 points apiece. Kelley Gibson had 19, and Octavia Blue, Kym Hope, and Tamicha Jackson had 13 points apiece.

Other Spirit players scoring in double digits were Isabel Stubbs (23) and Andrea Garner (18). The Spirit outrebounded the Stealth 42 – 35. Isabel Stubbs pulled down game high 14 rebounds. Both teams committed more turnovers than usual, with the Spirit committing 21 and the Stealth 16.

Houston’s next game will be Wednesday in Dallas against the Fury.
