November Player of the Month

Note:  Freshman and the "Diamond in the Rough" will begin for the month of December.

Paul Pierce was named  the MVP of the Pre - season NIT .  The 6'5", 200 lb., G posted impressive numbers in the semi - finals and finals.  Against Arizona State in the semis, Paul scored 28 points grabbed 9 rebs, and handed out 5 assists to help defeat the Sun Devils 90 - 88 in an overtime thriller.  In the final against Florida State, Pierce scored 23 points (21 in the 2nd half) and grabbed 17 rebounds to lead the Jayhawks over the Seminoles 73 - 58.  Pierce clearly lived up to his pre - season All - America status.
