Griner Named WBCA HS Player of the Year
ATLANTA -- Brittney Griner, from Houston's Aldine Nimitz High School, has been named the 2009 State Farm / WBCA High School Player of the Year.
Griner, 6'8" -- yes, six foot eight inches -- is currently averaging 27 points; 13 rebounds; and 11 blocks per game.

Griner signed a National Letter of Intent with Baylor University.
Griner will be formally honored on Saturday, April 4, during the WBCA High School All-America Game presented by Nike at Washington University’s Athletic Complex in St. Louis, MO.
