Griner, Bone Headline 2009 WBCA All-America Game

ATLANTA -- Brittney Griner (Aldine Nimitz HS, Houston, TX) and Kelsey Bone (Sugarland Dulles HS, Stafford, TX) headline the 2009 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) High School All-America Game.

Griner and Bone are two of 20 high school stars chosen to participate in the 2009 WBCA High School All-America Game.

The 20 players wll be divided into two teams of 10 players each. The college-style regulation game is scheduled to tip off at 4:30 p.m. CT, on Saturday, April 4, at Washington University’s Athletic Complex in St. Louis, MO.

The state of Texas is very well represented among the 20 players. In addition to Griner and Bone being named to the team, Nikki Greene from Diboll, TX (signed with Penn State); Cokie Reed from Hewitt, TX (signed with Texas); and Waltia Rolle from Fresno, TX (signed with North Carolina), will also participate in the game.

In fact, two more players from the Houston area were named to the list of 20 of players who were selected Honorable Mention as Lauren Flores (North Shore HS, Houston, TX - signed with Texas) and Monique Smalls (The Woodlands HS, The Woodlands, TX - signed with Texas Tech) were named to that list.
