Support Houston area College Teams

HOUSTON, TX -- While I'm certain fans of the Houston Comets are experiencing all sorts of emotions from shock and angst to flat out anger, I want to encourage them to begin supporting Houston area college teams in order to ease their suffering.

You have four opportunities over the next three days to begin soothing your nerves.

Friday night, December 5, at 7:00 p.m., inside Hofheinz Pavilion, the Houston Lady Cougars play, their neighborhood rival, the Texas Southern Lady Tigers.

Saturday afternoon, December 6, at 2:05 p.m., the Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers, coached by Houston Comets' legend Cynthia Cooper-Dyke (remember her?) will head to Sharp Gymnasium and battle the Houston Baptist University (HBU) Huskies.

At 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, the Rice Owls will host the Texas-Arlington Mavericks inside Tudor Fieldhouse. (Erin Grant is an assistant coach on the UTA coaching staff.)

Last and definitely not least, Sunday, December 7, the 4th ranked (and undefeated) Texas A&M Aggies will host the SMU Mustangs. Tip is set for 1 p.m. inside Reed Arena.

As a small aside, I'm planning to attend all four games.
