Ags Now Number 3
COLLEGE STATION, TX -- The Texas A&M Aggies (8-0) continue reaching heights in this young season. Today, the Aggies moved up to a program-best number 3 ranking in the USA Today / ESPN Coaches Poll. On Monday, the Aggies were ranked a school-best number 4 in the Associated Press Poll.
In addition to that news, freshman sensation Adaora Elonu (Alief Elsik HS) was named the Big 12 Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. Elonu, 6'1" forward, averaged 14.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks in the Aggies two wins last week over Stephen F. Austin (77 - 46) and SMU (80 - 48).
The Aggies, off for final exams, don't play another game until Saturday, December 13, versus Texas State. Tip - off is set for 7:30 p.m.
