TSU Announces 2 Signees

HOUSTON, TX -- Texas Southern University's Yolanda Wells-Broughton welcomed two new players to the Lady Tigers' basketball program as Krissica Harper (Midway HS in Waco, TX) and Tanija Beasley (Harvest Prep HS in Columbus, OH) signed National Letters of Intent with TSU.

"We are really excited to have these young ladies become a part of our family; and, we know that they will be great additions to our team," said Coach Wells-Broughton. "These young ladies will definitely be immediate impact players for our team."

Harper, 5'2", is a point guard from District 16-4A Champion, Waco Midway High School. She was also recruited by Penn State, Louisiana Tech, and Jackson State.

Beasley, 5'11", averaged 18 points per game last season. She chose TSU over Robert Morris, Texas El-Paso, Ohio, Akron, and IUPUI.

"We were extremely fortunate that these young ladies chose TSU for their academic endeavos and to play basketball collegiately," added Coach Wells-Broughton. They're going to be a valued addition to the foundation that we're laying down. I'm confident that they will help us take the program to a higher level."
