Byears Re-signed

Updated: June 26, 1pm.
According to Jenny Dial of the Houston Chronicle, Tina Thompson will be inactive for tonight's game versus the Silver Stars due to her fractured ring finger.

Any one attending the Houston Comets' home games thus far at Reliant Arena may have spotted forward Latasha Byears in attendance. Byears' presence may have caused some fans to wonder what she was doing at the games.

The answer is Tot was watching her former and future Comets teammates:

Also, Comets forward Tina Thompson is "officially listed as day-to-day" (aren't we all?) with a fractured ring finger on her left hand. However, Tina is expected to play in tomorrow's game versus the San Antonio Silver Stars.

Tuesday night, Thompson hit the game-winning jump shot to lead the Comets (5-8) over the Silver Stars (8-5) with an 82 to 81 overtime win.
