Latest with the Comets
According to the WNBA's "Transactions Page", here are some player transactions regarding the Houston Comets:
April 19
The Houston Comets waived Tamara Ransburg.
April 16
The Houston Comets signed Sequoia Holmes to a training camp contract.
April 15
The Houston Comets waived Anastasia Kostaki.
April 10
The Houston Comets signed Debbie Remmerde to a training camp contract.
Now, here's a question: Where will the Comets conduct their training camp?
As of this evening, the Comets have not sent out any word regarding where they will be practicing and / or conducting Media Day. Both can begin as early as Sunday, April 20, or Monday, April 21.
While I was in Tampa for the WNBA Draft and the NCAA Women's Final Four, I was told the team would announce an agreement with a Houston area training facility. Apparently, an agreement has yet to be reached.
Also, as of earlier this week, the Comets had not hired an equipment manager.
