Comets at Wellness
The Houston Comets will begin their quest to reach the 2008 WNBA Playoffs Monday, April 21, as they will hold their training camp at the Memorial Hermann / HBU Wellness Center.
Houston Comets Head Coach & General Manager Karleen Thompson, newly appointed assistant coach Laurie Byrd and returning assistant coach Ryan Weisenberg will welcome Comets players Tamecka Dixon, Ashley Shields and Crystal Smith, free agent forward Mwadi Mabika and the recently acquired Megan Mahoney to training camp. Also in attendance will be 2008 draft picks guard Matee Ajavon (5th overall), guard Erica White (17th overall) and forward Crystal Kelly (31st overall).
Players who will join camp at a later date are guard Shannon Johnson, forward Sancho Lyttle, guard / forward Hamchétou Maïga-Ba, center Michelle Snow, forward Tina Thompson and forward Mistie Williams.
