Snow re-signs w/ Comets

Friday, March 28, 2008 --

The Houston Comets have re-signed veteran center Michelle Snow, it was announced today by Houston Comets Head Coach and General Manager Karleen Thompson. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Michelle re-signing was very important to us,” said Coach Thompson. “She has been and will continue to be an integral part of the Comets. We believe the players we have assembled around her will allow Michelle to be a consistent, dominant force inside.”

Snow holds career averages of 9.7 points per game, 6.8 rebounds per game and 1.1 blocked shots per game, and counts four playoff appearances during that time (2002, 2003, 2005, 2006).

Since January 2008, in 31.9 minutes per game, Snow averaged 13.1 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, 1.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game in 11 games for Elizur Ramla in the Israeli Women's Basketball League.

The Houston Comets will tip-off their 2008 home opener against the Minnesota Lynx in Reliant Arena on May 27 at 7:30 p.m.
