Button Commits to UH
I heard about this news last week; and, I received the news yesterday:
Roxana Button, Sr. Guard at Coppell High School, has orally committed to the University of Houston.
Button, 5-9, has been an all district 6-5A first team selection the last two seasons and is also currently ranked 27th in the state.
She’s a four year returning varsity player and averaged 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists per game last season.
A member of the National Honor Society, with a 4.0 GPA, she chose the U of H over several other division 1 and division 2 offers.
According to this article at the Dallas Morning News website, Roxana chose UH over SMU, North Texas, and Texas - El Paso.
The first day of the 2007 Fall signing period (when student-athletes can sign a national letter of intent) is November 14.
