Comets' Sale Discussions Progessing Nicely

With the WNBA and the Los Angeles Sparks announcing the sale of the Sparks to a new ownership group, I'm sure fans of the Houston Comets are wondering what's going on regarding the potential sale of their favorite team.

I have news to report to you, Comets fans...discussion talks are progressing very nicely. In fact, I've spoken with the lead consultant of, what I believe is, the leading potential ownership group numerous times this week.

I want to let you know a few things: first, the ownership group is local and the group is comprised of season ticket holders just like you. Second, the Comets will continue playing in Toyota Center for the foreseeable future -- the team will not play in Hofheinz Pavilion on the campus of the University of Houston.

Third, the group has some very creative and innovative ideas which you will appreciate and enjoy. The ideas will help increase season ticket sales; return fans to Toyota Center; and make Toyota Center a fun, exciting and entertaining destination for Comets fans.

Fourth, Houston Rockets owner Les Alexander has been very cooperative in the discussions and he's been very helpful in the talks with this particualr ownership group.

Lastly, an announcement regarding the sale of the team could be forthcoming soon.

More information will be posted on TheHRR over the next few days.
