Rockets Thoughts
Just a few thoughts about the Rockets:
As quick as he is on offense, Aaron Brooks' perimeter defense is awful. Brooks needs to keep his man in front of him and out of the paint. The last two ball games, T.J. Ford (23 points off the Pacers' bench) and rookie Darren Collison (26 points and nine assists subbing for injured Chris Paul) have made Brooks look bad.
Chuck Hayes, all 6'6" of him, may the Rockets best defender. Think about that for a moment...
...However, once taller post players realize one of Chuck's biggest strengths is slapping the ball in the post, they simply shoot over him at will.
During the handful of games Tracy McGrady played this season with the Rockets, Rick Adelman lamented he couldn't play McGrady more minutes because of the logjam at the wing positions. Now that McGrady has been traded, when will Adelman make similar comments regarding the new logjam among Trevor Ariza, Shane Battier, Chase Budinger, and Kevin Martin?
Yes, the Rockets need practice time to get on the same page with the new players; however, it's possible practice time won't make any difference this week with games against the Orlando Magic (2/24), San Antonio Spurs (2/26), and the Utah Jazz (2/27).
The Rockets (28-27) could, conceivably, lose all three games and be two games under .500 by the end of the week.

Is Coach worried about "chemistry" issues with Kevin and the rest of the guys? Probably not seeing that Martin and Jeffries have already played.

We need Lowery back as soon as possible. He is a true PG...Brooks is not. Until Lowery comes back, we will continue to lose.
In the 4th quarter, Brooks can't run point, play defense and be the go to guy.
JMO
Get well soon Lowery.
