Rockets, Vipers Extend Partnership

MCALLEN, TX -- The Houston Rockets and the NBA D-League Rio Grand Valley Vipers announced they are extending their partnership which now means the Rockets will hold a portion of their pre-season training camps and host an exhibition game in the Rio Grande Valley in 2010, 2011, and 2012.

The 2010 game will follow three days of training camp in the Rio Grande Valley.

This year, the Rockets will hold two days of camp at the McAllen Convention Center from October 4-5, and host a preseason game against the Boston Celtics on October 7, at Dodge Arena in Hidalgo, Texas.

In addition, the Vipers will host the inaugural RGV Rocket Launch 2009 at the McAllen Convention Center from October 3-5.
