Rockets Announce 2009-'10 Schedule

HOUSTON, TX -- One day after being one of three teams fined for leaking details of their schedule, the Houston Rockets officially released the 2009 - 2010 schedule.

The Rockets tip off the 2009-10 regular season on October 27, at Portland, which will be followed by a contest at Golden State on October 28. The Rockets then return to Toyota Center to open the home slate by hosting Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge and the Trail Blazers on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m.

The Rockets play host to the Dallas Mavericks on December 31, with a special 6:00 p.m. start, to help usher in the New Year for an eighth straight season at Toyota Center. Houston holds a 5-2 mark in games they have hosted on New Year’s Eve.

The Rockets will have 23 home games after the midway point of the campaign, starting with a six-game home stand from January 23 - February 2. The team’s longest period away from home will be a pair of four-game road trips November 29 - December 5 and March 31 - April 6.

The Rockets play 22 sets of back-to-back games in the 2009 - 2010 season.
