Rockets' Draft Viewing Party

UPDATE -- 6/24, 11:40 a.m. -- Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey is scheduled to speak with the media this afternoon. Also, the Rockets sent a release inviting the media to Toyota Center Thursday, June 25, for the NBA Draft. "Rockets personnel will be available for comment following the conclusion of the Draft (typically around 11:00 p.m.)."


I wouldn't necessarily describe this as an indicator the Rockets will go from currently no draft picks in the 2009 NBA Draft to acquiring one pick (or more) in the draft; but, I'll pass this along.

The Rockets are hosting a free viewing party for the 2009 NBA Draft in the main restaurant at the House of Blues on Thursday, June 25. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. as fans patiently wait to see what moves the Rockets will make to impact the 2009-2010 season. Rockets Center Joey Dorsey will make a special appearance to tell fans about his rookie season and experiences from the 2008 NBA Draft.

The Rockets Power Dancers are scheduled to appear as well.
