Portland's Roy Needs to Be Aggressive
HOUSTON, TX -- Brandon Roy is the best player on the Portland Trailblazers' squad. Period. B-Roy needs to realize that fact. He did it in Game 2 and scored 42 points and helped the Blazers defeat the Houston Rockets 107 - 103. However, Roy followed that spectacular performance with a very pedestrian performance in Game 3 with a 6 for 18 shooting showing and only 19 points.
After the game, Roy said, "They really tried to take the paint away. Anytime I was penetrating, it didn't matter; they were going to collapse. Late, I was maybe trying to force it a little too much; but, they were setting up to take charges. Next game, I've got to look to get my teammates involved a little more."
No sir, Mr. Roy.
When you get inside the paint, shoot the ball or get to the basket. Stop looking lost and passing the ball to unprepared teammates.
Win or lose. Be aggressive.
