Coogs Announce Three Signees
HOUSTON, TX -- University of Houston head coach Tom Penders announced three new additions to the Cougar family today as Penders announced the signings of the Nick Haywood, Kirk Van Slyke, and Kendrick Washington. All three are expected to participate for Penders and the Coogs' men's basketball team in the 2009 - 2010 season.

Penders is quoted saying "The spring signing period is a month long; but, we started off with a grand slam in the first inning. We got three kids that we wanted very badly."
Sounds great, doesn't it?
Hopefully, Penders isn't spewing out more coachspeak. I wish all three young men the best of luck.
My expectation for the 2009 - 2010 season has not changed for Penders and the Coogs:
NCAA Tournament or bust. Period.
