Houston Rockets (45-20) vs. Los Angeles Lakers (45-20) March 16, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. (CDT)
In the first of three meetings with the Lakers this season, Shane Battier took a pass from Tracy McGrady and nailed a 3-pointer with 2.5 seconds to play in a 95-93 win at the L.A. Lakers (10/30/07) to open the 2007-08 campaign. Houston erased an 18-point, first-half deficit by limiting the Lakers to 32 second-half points to climb back into the game vs. Los Angeles (11/14/07), but dropped a 93-90 decision to the Lakers.
Inactive List:
Houston -- Steve Francis, Carl Landry and Yao Ming.
Los Angeles -- Andrew Bynum and Chris Mihm. Though he's not on the Inactive List, Pau Gasol (sprained left ankle) is out today as well as the next two games (at least).
