Update: TheHRR, Sept. 23.
Within the next few days, the Houston Roundball Review will add new blogs. Actually, my plan is for this blog to begin focusing solely on men's basketball. However, a new blog will be created which will focus solely on women's basketball. My reasoning for this change is to allow hoop fans to subscribe to the RSS feed(s) of their choice because not everyone is a fan of both men's and women's basketball.
The Rockets (and the NBA, for that matter) will have their annual Media Day on October 3. Barring unforeseen events, I'll attend Media Day. I'll post a few interviews on the new HRR's mp3s blog.
Thursday, I noticed the ESPN sports ticker reported the loss by Team USA's Women's Team to Russia in the semifinals of the 2006 World Championships; however, the ticker has not yet reported today's win by the USA over Brazil (99 to 59) to capture the bronze medal.
Go figure.
I suppose ESPN feels the Team USA's Women's Team only deserves recognition when they lose rather than when they win. Team USA finished 8 and 1 in these World Championships; and, the only time ESPN's sport ticker reported a final score from any of their games was the one defeat.
