Westfield's Hill Signs w/ Concordia

News items like this are what I'd love to see become a part of the HRR Fans' blog:

Justin Hill from Westfield High School in Spring, Texas, has committed to Concordia College in Selma, Alabama, accepting a four year basketball scholarship. Head Coach Anthony Rutledge of Concordia was at KCOH Radio on Friday, July 13th, with Justin and a host of family members, to sign his National Letter of Intent with the host of SportsRap, Ralph Cooper.

Justin will be accommodating the shooting guard / small forward position in Selma where Coach Rutledge stated, "Justin has the tools and the potential to become an immediate impact on our team. We are pleased with having selected him for his college career in Selma. At Concordia, we firmly believe in books first, and everything else will follow. We're expecting great things from Justin."

Hill at 6'4" 200lbs, was an integral player in the Mustangs 31-5 record for the 2006-2007 season. He had an average of 10.0 ppg., adding a menacing 13.5 rpg and fiercely intimidating shooters defensively with 3.5 blocked shots.

Justin had a GPA of 3.0 and will be majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Culinary Arts. (Justin wants to own and operate his own sports bar.) Justin is active in the community, in his church, and is an assistant coach with a Houston area AAU girls basketball team.

We wish this Houston product well in his journey for educational and sports success!

This fantastic news was provided by Justin's father, Mr. Philip Sampy.
