CU's unknown great player
Most women's college basketball fans know about Oklahoma's Courtney Paris. However, not as many of those same fans know who was the second leading scorer and rebounder in the Big 12 last season.
Colorado's Jackie McFarland is the answer.
This season, McFarland (6'3) enters her senior season at Colorado University. She averaged 17.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per game last season. Those stellar numbers earned McFarland a spot on the Big 12's all conference First Team.
Though she's produced tremendous stats in her college career, McFarland has one goal she hopes to accomplish before graduating from CU in the Spring: she wants to help the Buffaloes reach the NCAA Tournament.
As McFarland described it, reaching the NCAA Tournament is the "...biggest thing I'm missing..." in my career right now.
