The first person I interviewed at the 2007 Big 12 Women's Basketball Media Day was Gail Goestenkors, the new head coach of the Texas Longhorns.
Coach G discussed her expectations for the Longhorns in 2007 - 2008; her timetable to return the 'Horns to a national power; her role with USA Basketball; recruiting; the differences and similarities between the Big 12 and the ACC as well as a comparison between the University of Texas and Duke University.
Coach G was very candid in her comments.
